Valique enters the stage with a journey into spiritual side with ups and downs on the way to the higher state of mind, relaxed and powerful quest of time and dimensions expressed in omnipresent Rhodes entangled with 70’s bass line, accenting piano chords and discerning analogue scapes with sharp questioning phrases.
#2 is an intense look at the dangerous times we live in, things to dare and put together, continued by «Affinity» - a tech funk ride along the curves of disco until you reach the territory where harmony is in a clear view and full breath.
The title track «No Other Sun» is Valique’s signature live recorded disco stomper, supercharged with rolling bass-line, designed to leave no feet standing still, enforced with irresistible conga groove and underlined by cowbells and shakers. The synths, piano hook and the crystal sharp guitars take it all to the chorus, where the intensive harmonical movement begs for Jamiroquai to get onboard until bursting into timbales break and relief with spaced guitar suspension. But not for long - the only star we got is shining bright!
A rising Russian star from the city on the banks of Volga - iGemin is taking a completely different look at the point. Choosing to move in a broken manner, gently but insistently raising the temperature with spaced chords and synths, evolving into lovely jazzed urban atmosphere with flying by phrases, wide-open horizon and a flutist playing somewhere around the corner. A sublime mixture of sensual pleasures.
And finally, a tribute to the pioneers of space exploration, «Spaceships» - struggling to overcome the 11km per second limit and reach for a new consistency in the lack of gravity but fullness of emotion.
